Field gates to be closed during the day

To all parents/carers,

As part of our on-going safeguarding checks, myself and Mr Wallace at the Junior School have been looking at our  school site security on such an ‘open’ site.

We have noticed that the route between the school drive (on the school site) and the Cranbrook Drive estate is being used as a thoroughfare for members of the public—some not even linked with the schools.

We have decided that we need to lock the 2 gates, leading to the top field from our driveway, between 9:00am and 3:00pm.

This will secure our sites during these school hours but will still allow parents and families access to the school driveway from the Cranbrook Drive estate before and after school.

We will put signs up to remind families and public and this will start from June 5th.

We ask all families to support us with this to help us further enhance our site security and hopefully negate the need for additional fencing that will close off the site.

Many thanks,

 Mrs Clementson -Head teacher
